Voltaire: Bonjour! Je m' appelle Francois-Marie Arouet, but i am better known as Voltaire. I am known for being one of the most prominent writers of my time. I am a writer, philosopher, playwright and I have written almost every literary form from plays, poetry, novels, essays, historical and scientific works, more than 20,000 letters and 2,000 books and pamphlets. Voltaire, the name that i adopted in 1718, is an anagram of "AROVET LI," the Latinized spelling of my surname, Arouet, an the initial letters of "le jeune" ("the younger"). I am known and honored in France as a courageous polemicst who indefatigably fought for civil rights and I denounced the hypocrisies and injustices of the ancien regime. jusqu'a la prochaine fois (until next time) !
